Ladies Auxiliary

Branch 59 Grand Forks Ladies Auxiliary has been around since April 8, 1938. Yes that's right, they turned 80 years old in 2018. We are very fortunate to have a hard-working group that make up our Ladies Auxiliary. A lot of Branches across Canada do not have a Chapter, either because they never formed one or some lost their Chapters for whatever reason. Most times it is because they cannot fill their ranks with new members.

Members of the Ladies’ Auxiliary support the aims and objects of The Royal Canadian Legion and today, they are a vital and integral part of the work of the Legion. Major contributors to the day-to-day life of Legion Branches, Ladies’ Auxiliaries provide financial and volunteer support to Legion programs.

The Ladies’ Auxiliaries are coordinated at the Branch level. Any woman who is eligible for membership in the Legion may choose to become a member of the Ladies Auxiliary only, or a member of both organizations.
The Legion and LA are both open to new members. The Auxiliary is a great place for young people to learn about fundraising, organizing events and how to be volunteer. For more information on Ladies’ Auxiliaries in your area, please contact your local Legion Branch.
